A total of 16 parks in Havering have been recognised as being maintained to the highest possible standards.
The parks retained their Green Flag awards, awarded by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, for the third year in a row.
The accolade recognises parks that boast the highest possible standards, are well maintained and have excellent facilities.
Councillor Ray Morgon, leader of Havering Council, said that the authority was “extremely proud” of the borough's parks.
He added: “The Green Flag award is recognition of all the hard work our staff carry out on a daily basis, along with our volunteers and friends of parks groups to help keep our parks maintained and safe for everyone to visit.
“It is due to their efforts that we are once again celebrating this success and I am delighted their dedication has once again been rewarded.”
Paul Todd, MBE, Keep Britain Tidy’s Green Flag Award scheme manager congratulated the people of Havering and said that staff and volunteers who maintain the parks should be “extremely proud of their achievements”.
