Santa doesn’t appear to be taking his traditional summer break, with a visit to Havering on the cards.
He is returning to Hornchurch in August to run the Summer Santa charity collection and help those in need.
The rotund figure normally squeezing down your chimney at Christmas with gifts for the kids is collecting donations of cash or groceries instead.
He has been invited by Hornchurch Round Table to drive his motor trailer sleigh through the streets on August 20 making collections like he did last summer.
“We’re hoping to go further this time and help more people in crisis,” Phil Shacklady from Hornchurch Round Table said.
“We were overwhelmed by the support last year which was testament to people’s kindness and generosity.”
Santa is accepting food and essential toiletries for Romford Foodbank as well as cash to help bring some holiday seasonal cheer to families.
