A man has been arrested after a "threatening email" was sent to schools in Redbridge.
Police said yesterday (July 12) that they were "aware of a threatening email sent to a school in Redbridge" and were investigating.
A spokesperson said they believed the email had been sent to "a number of schools".
Redbridge Primary School told the Recorder yesterday that it took precautions and went into ‘lockdown’.

Seven Kings High School also took action but “went back to normal” at around 2pm.
A spokesperson for Met Police has now said that they have arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of sending malicious communications.
They said: “He has been taken into custody where he remains."
Nobody was harmed or considered to be in any danger, police confirmed.
