A spokesperson for Met Police has said the man was also seen shouting in a woman’s ear.
He continued to be abusive when the officers approached him, she added.
While the officers tried to handcuff him, he allegedly became violent and “spat at” officers in attendance.
The spokesperson said: “He was restrained in handcuffs and taken into custody where his actions continued.”
He was charged with assault of an emergency worker and drunk and disorderly conduct but has since been bailed at Barkingside Magistrates court.
