A Romford business has received a regional award, commended for its success in a "fragile" economy.
LT Support, a Romford-based education recruitment agency, was named Recruitment StartUp of the Year at the East of England finals of the StartUp Awards on June 29.
The company, founded by Laura Tanner, finds staff for schools across London and the home counties.
This comes at a time when record numbers of teachers in England are quitting the profession.
Professor Dylan Jones-Evans, creator of the awards, said he was honoured to read about those who had taken the plunge and started a business, considering that "the economy is still fragile" after Covid.

Helen Bierton, chief banking officer at Starling, added: "Our StartUp Awards winners and finalists in the East of England deserve huge recognition for their achievements.
"It’s not easy turning an idea into a successful business," she said.
The StartUp Awards, which began in 2022, hosted its East of England final in Peterborough where 27 awards were given out.
