Havering has been named as the third safest London borough for burglary risk by a security systems provider.
Security company ADT said last year Havering had only eight burglaries per 1,000 households, two fewer than south London borough Croydon and north London’s Camden.
Reported crimes in Havering has dropped from 117 in November 2022 to 81 in April 2023, according to Met Police data.
Havering, London’s easternmost borough, has been described by ADT as home to a quiet, residential atmosphere and lots of green space.
It came in joint third place with Richmond upon Thames as one of London’s least at-risk areas, experiencing eight burglaries for every 1,000 homes in 2022.
Bexley is the least targeted London borough with just six burglaries per 1,000 households.
