A man has been taken to hospital after an incident at Westminster Underground station.
A casualty on the tracks was reported to the police just before 2.30pm today (June 14).
Officers and London Ambulance Services crews, and an air ambulance were called to the scene.
An ambulance crew, an incident response officer, an advanced paramedic, and members of the hazardous area response team also attended.
He is being taken to hospital with serious injuries for further treatment.
His condition is currently unknown.
This incident is not being treated as suspicious.
The Circle line remains suspended as the incident is dealt with.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Westminster Underground station at 14.31pm today following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, and a man is being taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“This incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called today at 2:32pm to reports of an incident at Westminster Underground Station.
“We sent a number of resources including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, an advanced paramedic, and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team.
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Our first medic arrived in less than two minutes.
“Our teams are treating a man at the scene. The incident is ongoing.”
