A fifth man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of two drill rappers from Ilford.
Chibiuke Ohanweh, 21, of Heath Park Road, Gidea Park was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday (May 24).
He was taken into custody and charged today with two counts of murder and one of attempted murder.
On October 25, 2022, police were called at 00.16am by the London Ambulance Service to reports of a shooting inside a house on Henley Road in Ilford.
Three men were found with gunshot injuries by officers and paramedics.
Drill rappers Saydi Abu Sheikh, 23, and Zakariya Jeilani Mohamed, 32, from Ilford, died at the scene.
The third victim, a 30-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he remained in a serious condition for a few days. He was later discharged.
Specialist officers continue to support the families of the three men, police said.

Coroner Nadia Persaud opened inquests into their deaths at East London Coroner’s Court in November last year.
Zakariya Jeilani died from hypovolemic shock after he suffered stab and gunshot wounds to the torso, the court heard.
Coroner’s officer Brenda Dowsett told the court that Saydi Abu died from stab wounds to the torso.
Four other men have been charged in connection with the case.
Ayaani Ali Adan, 20, of East Street in Barking, was arrested on November 11, 2022.
He was charged with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, possession with an intent to supply a Class B drug, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of a knife in public and possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.
20-year-old Zain Mirza, of Third Avenue in Newham, was arrested on November 23, 2022 and 21-year-old Mahad Gouled of Charles Street in Enfield was held the next day. They were both charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
18-year-old Zakarie Mohamed of Kensal Rise in Kensington was arrested on April 12 this year and was later charged with two counts of murder, attempted murder and two counts of possession with an intent to supply a Class B drug.
A provisional trial date has been set for October 2023.
