A 12-year-old boy carried out three robberies in east London, a court has heard.
The boy, from Chadwell Heath, appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court in April for sentencing after he previously pleaded guilty to three charges of robbery and one charge of possessing a knife in a public place.
On March 7 he carried out a robbery in Tower Hamlets, taking someone’s iPhone XR.
The following day he robbed an iPhone and a pair of Airpods from someone else in Tower Hamlets, then later the same day he robbed another iPhone.
He was then caught by police armed with a kitchen knife in Poplar.
The youngster, born in 2010, was referred to a youth offender panel for a year.
Youth offender panels are designed to challenge young offenders to take responsibility for their actions and helping them to change their behaviour for good.
