A man was taken to hospital with a head injury after an assault outside a shop, police said.
The attack occurred in Harold Hill at 7.28pm yesterday (22 May).
Police cordoned off Farringdon Avenue on the corner of Straight Road after the assault.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service. A man was taken to hospital with a head injury.

"His condition was assessed as not life-threatening.”
There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.
Police have asked any witnesses to call 101 quoting CAD 6895/22May.
