Streets including a school were cordoned off after police were called amid concerns a man had a gun.
Police were called to a property in Barleycorn Way, Limehouse, at 11am today (Monday, May 22) after reports of a concern for someone's welfare.
It was reported a man inside the property had a firearm and was threatening to harm himself, police said.

Officers went into the building and recovered the gun.
A man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
Streets including Narrow Street, Barleycorn Way, Three Colts Street, Milligan Street, Limehouse Causeway, Gill Street, Grenade Street, Rich Street and Rope Makers Field were within an area cordoned off, which also included Cyril Jackson Primary School.
All police cordons are now open except for one in Grenade Street.
