Students showed off their differences with clothes, dance, music, language and even food when Havering Sixth Form staged its global culture day.
Traditional national costume and flags from around the world were displayed, where students paraded to show their cultural identities.
“Students feel safe and able to wear their cultural dress with pride,” college deputy principal Phil Hall said.
“It was a day of unity and diversity, learning about various cultures and celebrating differences and similarities.
“This is an inclusive college community where they made an incredible effort and looked absolutely stunning.”
Their countries of origin included Ireland, Italy, Poland, Lithuania, Albania, the USA, India, Bangladesh, Jamaica, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.
Students sampled international food from stalls set up at the college in Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch, that offered taster dishes.
They also made tote bags and badges.
