A person was rushed to hospital after three vehicles crashed on the M25.
Firefighters freed one person who was trapped inside a car following a crash on the M25 today (May 10) between junctions 25 and 26.
Emergency services were called shortly before 6am to reports of the multi-vehicle crash before the Holmesdale Tunnel close to junction 26 of the motorway.
One person was treated for minor injuries at hospital.
There were severe delays on the M25, with a lane closed and queuing traffic for 12 miles anticlockwise between Waltham Abbey and Enfield.
There was also congestion to junction 28 in Romford, down the M11 to the North Circular and back through to Cheshunt, Waltham Abbey, Enfield, Sewardstone and Epping Forest.
All lanes have since reopened, but delays continue.
