A new Greggs has opened inside a Havering superstore.
Greggs, one of Britain’s largest bakery chains, welcomed customers to its new store in Romford Tesco Extra at Roneo Corner yesterday (May 2).
Among the offer at the store will be the chain's staple sausage rolls, steak bakes and a new vegan Mexican chicken-free option.
The opening will create ten jobs in the area, said Greggs.
Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, said: "Our new shop in Romford has brought ten new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their favourite Greggs food."
The chain, which founded in 1939 in Newcastle, has also recently opened a new branch at Canary Wharf station.
It has previously said it aims to open 150 new shops across the country every year.
