A West Ham fan has been banned from matches for three years after he threw a coin.
Daniel Adamson, of St Magnus Close, Birchington in Kent, committed the offence during West Ham’s 2-1 loss against Crystal Palace at the London Stadium on November 6.
The 27-year-old appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on April 20 where he pleaded guilty.
Adamson was discharged conditionally for 12 months, meaning if he commits a further offence in that time he will be sentenced for both that offence and the coin throwing incident.
When deciding whether to impose a football banning order, the court was told that Adamson relies on football to lessen the symptoms of his ADHD and anxiety.
However, the court were told that his actions were designed to deliberately antagonise the other side.
He was therefore handed a three year football banning order, preventing him from coming within two miles of any West Ham or England fixture.
Adamson was also ordered to pay £111 in costs.
