An appeal has launched following the death of a woman in a fatal crash involving three vehicles.
Metropolitan Police says there have still been no arrests following the crash in New Road, at the junction of Wennington Road, in Rainham on Wednesday (April 19).
Emergency services were called to reports of a car crashing with lorry and a van crashing at 8.31am.
It is now confirmed that a woman in her 50s was the driver of the car, and she died at the scene.
In an appeal launched today, the Met said: “Police have informed her next of kin. They are being supported by specially trained officers.
“The driver of the lorry was not arrested. He and the driver of a van were taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.”
While the lorry driver continues to assist with police enquiries, detectives are calling for any witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forward.
