A man is in a serious condition in hospital following an alleged assault.
The victim, in his mid-50s, was taken to an east London hospital, where police were called at 6.20pm on Saturday (April 1).
The Met Police confirmed a crime scene was put in place in and outside the man's home in Crowlands Avenue, Romford.
He remains in a serious condition and his next of kin has been informed by police.

On Sunday (April 2), a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and he has been bailed until late June.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident and are appealing for help.
