A male has been arrested after allegedly crashing a stolen car into another vehicle.
The car, a black Kia Sportage, was first spotted by officers while out on patrol in Chadwell Heath at 3.42pm on March 18.
Police requested the driver pull over after he was allegedly seen driving erratically with what were believed to be false or cloned registration plates, but he failed to do so.
The police then pursued the driver onto the A12 westbound, just north of Romford, where the car crashed into another vehicle, before traffic prevented the driver from continuing onto the Eastern Avenue Retail Park.
The male driver, no further details, was arrested nearby on suspicion of aggravated vehicle theft, police said.
