A Turkish restaurant in Harold Hill has won an award recognising it as the best takeaway in London for the second time in three years.
Kervan Saray was given the accolade at the British Kebab Awards having also been the winners in the same category in 2021.
The awards celebrated the contribution of the kebab industry to UK’s culture and economy in a ceremony that took place at the Westminster Bridge Hotel.
Entries were judged in 20 categories this year, that ranged from best newcomer to chef of the year and best kebab van.
Kervan Saray, in Masefield Crescent, was opened by owner Ismail Akpinar in May 2017.
A spokesperson for the awards said: “Our local kebab takeaways and restaurants are the beating hearts of our high streets and now, more than ever, kebabs are becoming part of our daily lives."
