A Harold Hill man who assaulted a police officer at a Remembrance Day event in central London has been fined.

Ben Buckland, 49, of Petersfield Avenue, assaulted the officer after trying to force his way through a police cordon at an event on November 8 2020.

He was also acquitted of alleged involvement in a further altercation with another police officer later in the day.

Buckland was sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on January 26, where he was found guilty of assaulting an officer and ordered to pay a £100 fine and £200 in costs.
