A Hornchurch post office is due to shut for around two weeks as it undergoes a refit.
The shop in Station Lane will close its doors at 8am on January 27 and will remain shut until 9am on February 11 while the refurbishment is carried out.
Mohammed Islam, Post Office network provision lead, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.
“The safety of our customers is paramount. Therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it will be necessary for the service to close temporarily.”

During the closure, the three nearest Post Office branches are in Suttons Lane, North Street and Upminster Road.
Another post office in Havering, in Brentwood Road, Romford, is also temporarily shut and is in the midst of a refurbishment following new ownership.
