Police continue to search for a man involved in an alleged armed fight in Romford last Friday (January 13).
Officers were called at around 3.50pm to reports of two people fighting with knives at Gallows Corner.
Footage had been circulating online allegedly showing the two men battling each other, with one appearing to wield a large bladed object.
A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital with slash wounds, a police spokesperson said.
They added his condition was assessed as “not life-threatening, and he continues to receive treatment”.
The man was also arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. A search continues for the second man.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a man at the scene and took him, by road, to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
The police spokesperson has asked any witnesses to call 101 quoting CAD 4545/13Jan.
