A teenager has been convicted of affray after a man was slashed in Romford last November.
Two boys, both 17, were charged with affray and possession of a bladed article after they were alleged to have chased a man in his 20s with knives, near the train station in South Street, on November 18.
The man later arrived at hospital with slash injuries. His condition was not life-threatening.
One of the boys, who both cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty but was convicted of affray and possession of a pointed blade/article at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on January 9.
He will appear in custody for sentencing at the same court on February 1.

The other boy was sentenced on December 7 at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court to a two-year rehabilitation order having previously admitted both charges.
A third boy, aged 15, was also arrested in November on suspicion of GBH, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class B drugs.
He has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in mid-February.
