The Christmas season is a joyous time we can celebrate together in Havering, as we look back on the year and look forward to the year ahead.
I would like to extend my personal thanks and greetings to those who continue to look after us and keep us safe in the borough – the police, health staff, fire service and all those who will be looking after loved ones.
We can also reflect on the many wonderful people across our network of voluntary organisations who give their time and effort to bring cheer to those whose Christmas can be particularly difficult or lonely.

I’ve been having a wonderful time serving Havering as Mayor. I am honoured to have met so many inspiring people of all ages and from all backgrounds, who each make Havering a great place to live and work.
May Christmas be a time of companionship and celebration for you and those you love – and may the New Year bring peace and prosperity.
Merry Christmas and a very happy 2023.
Cllr Trevor McKeever is Mayor of Havering
