A 17-year-old boy has been given a youth rehabilitation order after a stabbing.
Two boys, both 17, were charged with affray and possession of a bladed article following the incident in Romford on November 18.
They were both alleged to have chased a man in his 20s with knives near the station in South Street.
The man later arrived at hospital with slash injuries. His condition was not life-threatening.
The two boys first appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on November 22.
One, referred to as A, pleaded guilty to both offences before being sentenced yesterday (December 7) at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court to a two-year youth rehabilitation order.
The other, referred to as B by police, pleaded not guilty. He has a hearing set for Stratford Magistrates’ Court on January 9, 2023.
A third boy, aged 15, was also arrested on November 19 on suspicion of GBH, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class B drugs.
He has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in mid-February.
