The news that Five Guys is opening a new restaurant in Romford next week has been met with both enthusiasm and concern.
The popular burger and chips chain announced this week that is latest outlet in The Brewery will begin welcoming customers from Monday (November 28).
A spokesperson for Five Guys said: “The Five Guys crew are excited to welcome The Brewery visitors to enjoy fresh, quality and fully customisable burgers at our new restaurant.
“At Five Guys we are passionate about burgers, fries and people and we are thrilled to be bringing the UK’s favourite burgers to Romford, as well as creating opportunities for the local community to join our energetic crew.”

But not all responded with the same enthusiasm.
Kelly Steff was one of several who commented on Facebook regarding the price.
“I better start saving now cos it's so expensive,” she said.
Lesley Winch meanwhile asked why the area needed a Five Guys, commenting: “Don't they think we've already got enough junk food shops. Why have another one?”
Another concern, namely the alleged need instead for more allergy-friendly restaurants, was raised by Lily Hough.
They said there are “only two restaurant I can eat in, in the entirety of Romford”, before asking the town to “get with the programme and put restaurants in that cater to allergies happily and don't make a fuss when we ask”.
Chris Cockram however was more enthusiastic, commenting simply: “Love it.”
Tom Stobbart, centre manager at The Brewery, previously told the Recorder he had “no doubt that Five Guys will quickly become a must-visit restaurant for Romford foodies when it opens its doors”.
