It will cater for around 300 covers and is to initially open on two floors, with a third-floor roof terrace and bar set to launch in spring 2023.
Lana Copping, general manager of BrewDog Upminster, said the chain is excited to open in the town.
She added: "The building enhances BrewDog’s industrial vibe and definitely brings an iconic new bar to the high street.
"With an extensive selection of beers, and a delicious menu we look forward to welcoming the local community and visitors.”
The bar will also feature 70 taps of craft beer from BrewDog and a range of guest breweries.
