A Hornchurch pub manager has said it is "great to be able to give back" to the community after the completion of a £400,000 refurbishment.
Sandy Castle runs The Fatling, which is part of Stonegate Group.
The refurbishment saw work on the venue's interior, exterior and garden.
The pub, in High Street, hosts live music nights with local artists and supports causes such as school Christmas fayres.
Sandy said: “The local community is a big part of our incredible pub, and we want to be able to support and provide a welcoming space for all.
"Our amazing customers do so much for us, so it is great to be able to give back to them.
“Our investment has really allowed the team and I to provide a great, traditional community pub, for guests who want a space to relax and spend time with friends and family."
