The areas represented by Havering MPs could shift under new proposals due to be published next week.
The Boundary Commission for England is to unveil revised constituency boundaries on Tuesday (November 8) as part of its 2023 boundary review.
The commission wants to shift the geographical boundaries so that every recommended constituency across the UK – apart from five exceptions – have an electorate no smaller than 69,724 and no larger than 77,062.
Initial amendments were published in June 2021, involving suggestions to transfer the Emerson Park ward from the Hornchurch and Upminster constituency to the Romford constituency, and to split the Hylands ward between the two.
A campaign group was subsequently set up to keep the Emerson Park ward in Hornchurch, backed by Hornchurch and Upminster MP Julia Lopez.
Next week’s proposals have been compiled on the back of a second consultation, held between February 22 and April 4 this year.
Following the publication, the public will have four weeks, until December 5, to submit final feedback.
Tim Bowden, secretary to the commission, said: “It is the final consultation on the review, so this will be the last four weeks for people to get involved.”
The proposals will be available to read in full on the commission website.
