A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital with stab wounds on Sunday (October 30), after reports of a fight outside Romford station.
Police were called to South Street at 4.09am on Sunday morning, where the man was found injured.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) also attended, treating him at the scene before taking him to hospital.
An LAS spokesperson said: “We sent two ambulance crews and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance which consisted of a paramedic and a doctor in a car.
“We treated a man at the scene and took him, as a priority, to a major trauma centre.”
A police spokesperson said they await await an update on his condition.
Enquiries are ongoing.
The incident occurred just around the corner from the new welfare hub, recently opened to help “keep people safe at night” in Romford town centre.
