A pub has been saved from demolition after a last-ditch campaign from regulars, staff and local residents.
The Pompadours in Edenhall Road, Harold Hill, was sold in February and looked set to brought down with the land used to build 25 new flats.
But yesterday Havering Council officers refused the proposals, just days after a protest outside the pub organised by The Pompadours Crusaders.
