The bus route 5, which runs between Canning Town and Romford Market, is under review to provide an access to Queen’s Hospital.

The existing service, does not stop at the hospital in Rom Valley Way, Romford.

Transport for London (TFL) proposes to change the bus route to make it run through Rom Valley Way, Oldchurch Rise and Oldchurch Road before joining South Street at the junction with Thurloe Gardens.

Buses would no longer serve the section of South Street between Oldchurch Way and Rom Valley Way but bus routes 252, 248 and N15 will continue to provide a direct link for passengers into Romford town centre.

This new route would be used in both directions and buses would continue to stop at Romford station and the town centre.

TFL has worked with the NHS trust to improve access to the hospital and is encouraging residents to take part in a public consultation.

To take part visit here by October 3.
