Greggs has announced that it will be opening a brand new store just a few doors down from Upminster train station.
The company told the Recorder that the shop will be opening on Tuesday, May 1.
It said that the new store at 72 Station Road will also create 12 jobs.
The popular bakery has said that the new store will offer customers a contemporary food-on-the go experience, with seating available for those who wish to eat inside the shop.
Christopher Barker, shop manager at the new store said: “We can’t wait to open our doors and hear what the local community thinks. We hope customers enjoy the wide range of tasty items we have on offer.”
Roisin Currie, retail director for Greggs, said: “We’re delighted to be able to invest in Upminster, bringing new jobs to the area and providing our customers with a modern and convenient new shop.”
Shop opening times have been confirmed as being 6am – 7pm Monday – Friday, 7am – 6pm Saturday and 9am – 5pm on Sunday.
