Four men were injured after a stabbing in Forest Gate at the weekend - here's what we know so far.

Police were called to Romford Road, in Forest Gate, on Saturday (August 10) at around 3.45pm to reports of a group of men trying to enter a restaurant with a knife.

The restaurant is the Bronze Royal African Bar, according to Newham Council. 

The council also said on X that there had been reports a firearm had been seen at the restaurant as well, although this is unconfirmed.

When officers arrived at the bar, they found three men with stab injuries.

These men were treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews, who were also called to the incident.

Shortly after that, police received a second call reporting that another man had been found stabbed in Romford Road, near the junction with Sprowston Road.

Officers found him with stab wounds to his leg and he was taken to a London major trauma centre by ambulance crews.

He remains in hospital today (August 12), although his current condition is unknown.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "At this early stage no arrests have been made but urgent enquiries are ongoing.

"Crime scenes remain in place at the locations.

"Anyone with information about the incident, should call 101 quoting CAD 1103/10AUG24."

Romford Road was shut for most of Saturday due to the incident, but has since reopened, with traffic returning to normal levels on Monday.
