Olympic silver medallist Colin Jackson is supporting a scheme to give up-and-coming athletes in Brentwood progress in their sporting career.
Everyone Active’s Sporting Champions scheme, now heading into its seventh year, has helped thousands of athletes to achieve their potential by providing free access to over 200 Everyone Active leisure facilities, including The Brentwood Centre.
Elite athletes will also mentor those in the scheme by sharing their experience and expertise.
Mr Jackson will work alongside the athletes as an ambassador to make sport more accessible within local communities.
Shaun Beagle, Everyone Active’s area contract manager, said: “Everyone Active’s Sporting Champions scheme has been very successful in providing exceptional support to emerging talent and we are delighted to be once again supporting athletes from Brentwood on their journey to success.
“It’s fantastic to see how the scheme has expanded over the years, now providing more than 1,000 athletes nationwide with access to top-quality training facilities and support.
