Three men have been arrested after a woman was involved in a collision with a car in Brentwood.
Essex Police received reports of a disturbance on Queens Road shortly before 1.30pm on Sunday, October 16.
In addition to the woman, who sustained a serious leg injury, a man was also alleged to have been assaulted.
However, his injuries were less serious.
Essex Police said it believes the alleged incident was targeted.
A 55-year-old man from Dagenham has been arrested on suspicion of affray, and a 19-year-old from Brentwood and a 28-year-old from Edmonton have both been arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
All three are currently in custody.
Essex Police has requested anyone with information, CCTV, dash-cam or other footage in relation to the alleged incident to call 101, quoting incident 561 of 16 October.
